Highlights

Volunteer Reflections

We are excited to release improvements to volunteer reflections. Volunteers can now enter an overall reflection of their volunteer efforts for an opportunity. We have increased the space and editing tools to provide more robust, formatted reflections, added a word count tracker, and included photo uploads for volunteers to attach photos that complement their reflection and experience.

Administrators and Moderators can easily access and view these reflections in Moderation for each hour set submission they are reviewing and a volunteer can see the same presentation from Track.

Look forward in early winter to being able to add task tags to specific dates to complement the overall opportunity reflection. 

Application

  • Rather than replicating a reflection summary across multiple dates (which we observed many of our users struggling with), simply add a single overall reflection for your volunteer experience at an opportunity.  
  • Enjoy some writing space to craft the reflection you feel good about submitting.  You can now include standard document formatting and make sure you are meeting any word count requirements.
  • Spice up your reflections with pictures!  Attach photos from the volunteer experience that enhance your reflection and that you want to share with the opportunity hosts and your group leaders.
  • View your reflection is being delivered in an easy-to-read, visually pleasing format that moderators and administrators will see as well.

To access:

  • Access Add Hours from all the places you normally do.
  • Under the calendar and date entry table, find a new Step 3 for crafting reflections.

Adding Hours

Adding volunteer hours in NobleHour is key to a successful experience.  We continue to work to improve this portion of our service offerings.  In this release, we have updated the background technology of Add Hours and, as a result, offer a few needed improvements

Application

Selecting an Opportunity

  • More easily find a volunteer opportunity by first filtering through/selecting the host organization. By helping volunteers orient to their community or the opportunity host organization and then presenting only those opportunities, we are hoping to help volunteers find and select the correct opportunity more easily and reliably.
  • Differentiate between a truly personal opportunity that does not have a hosting organization (helping a neighbor, e.g.) and an opportunity that is hosted by an organization that has not yet registered with NobleHour.  This distinction will more reliably encourage verification of volunteer time and help our community customers connect with their unregistered community partner organizations.

Selecting calendar dates and adding time

  • Volunteers can now add multiple shifts on a single day for the same or different opportunities. We all realize that volunteers often will want to record hours at different opportunities on the same day or for doing different things at the same opportunity with a break in the middle.  Volunteers can now identify and add hours for multiple volunteered shifts on a single date.
  • We improved the slider bar time labels so that they no longer overlap!

Highlights

Community Moderation

We are excited to release significant improvements to Community Moderation. Community administrators and moderators will find better, more flexible access and action features for moderating hour, opportunity, news, media assets, groups, and role request submissions. 

Application

  • View all submissions to your community under the updated Moderate & Manageview
  • View submissions on hours, content, or connections tabs and quickly search or page through table lists
  • Filter submissions by status
  • Sort table columns by name, date, status, hour totals, and other column types
  • Batch approve or deny pending submissions
  • Undo moderation actions if needed

To access:
Login to your community as a moderator or administrator.

Click on the Community Manager and then select Moderation to open to the Moderate & Manage view.

Explore the Hours tab by selecting “View” by member name, hosted opportunity, or the contributed-to group and sort by submission status.

  • Click on any row to expand and view specific hour set submissions.
  • If an hour submission has associated verification information from outside your community, it is displayed in light gray to help inform your own moderation decisions.
  • Check the row checkbox to select all moderatable submissions under it or feel free to select a subset of specific sub-rows and moderate as needed.
  • Select Approve/Deny (pending) or Undo (approved/denied) at the top of the table.  
  • View submission details by clicking on the View icon.

Explore the Content tab by selecting “View” on contributed Opportunities, media Assets, and News and sort by submission status.

  • Pending submissions can be approved/denied and denied submissions can be undone.
  • When you filter by Approved Opportunities, you gain access to the actual content and can quickly take content specific actions such as inactivating them, featuring, viewing to edit, or accessing reports.
  • Selecting one or more content items reveals bulk undo, feature, or report viewing options.

Explore the Connections tab by selecting “View” on role requests and groups and then sort by submission status.

My Account

We have updated and reorganized your member Account view.  We’ve improved visibility and added functionality to let you manage your account information, network roles and relationships, and preferences all in one place.

Application

  • Update account details including contact information, avatar, password, contact preferences, student IDs and more
  • Network relationship management and role requests

To access: 

  • Click on “My Account” under your avatar image on your Home page OR your avatar image in the upper right hand corner of any page header and then “View My Info” under your email address. 
  • Did you know you can also register a free organization via your My Account header dropdown?
  • Key account information like your avatar, membership date, contact information, and Impact metrics are quickly accessible at the top of the page. 
  • NobleNetwork participation in communities, groups, and organizations is listed under My Network.
  • Refine your relationships with your network and request role updates in one place.
  • If you are a student or alumni, set your graduation term/year.  As a student, you may also enter your student ID if your administrator requests it. 
  • Leave groups, organizations, and communities if needed.
  • Set and manage your Account Preferences in one place with easy-to-use toggles.
  • Edit Account Information including password and multiple email addresses by clicking the Edit button at the top of the page.

Organizations

We’re pleased to announce an updated and improved creation process and web presence for organizations in NobleHour. Organizations host all the great volunteer opportunities in NobleHour and we’ve worked to make it as easy as possible for organizers to add and edit information about their organizations and feel proud to direct their volunteers and partners to their NobleHour organization page to learn more. If you are a Community Administrator, let your partners know that adding their organization to NobleHour and listing opportunities helps your volunteers find them!

Application

If you’ve been waiting to list your organization and opportunities with NobleHour, now is the time!

  • Quickly and easily register your organization by clicking the link under your profile image from the header on any page.
  • Be sure to add volunteer opportunities by clicking the add icon in the header and then clicking Opportunities.

If you currently administer a basic organization in NobleHour, visit your home page! We think you’ll like what you see. While you are there:

  • Add a logo and any other photos to help show volunteers what you do.
  • Update your contact information and other details. If you have a D&B D-U-N-S number, feel free to include it so that we can easily validate you as your organization’s representative.
  • Make sure to add more volunteer opportunities to fill out your calendar. They’ll automatically display at the bottom of your page to help volunteers get involved easily.

Registration

While updating Organizations, we made improvements to our new user registration process as well. Encourage your volunteers to easily create an account in NobleHour and then join your community and sign-up for volunteer opportunities.

We’re streamlining and improving our NobleHour reports for community and group administrators and members in preparation for new report views for opportunity and organization administrators. With these Improvements and bug fixes you’ll find:

Application

  • Enhanced member and opportunity metrics to improve at-a-glance understanding of impact hours and dollar value.
  • More intuitive Health Averages to better understand how you, your group, or your community are doing on average and in comparison to other similar parts of your community or Network.
  • Easier access to detailed table reports of the data making up your reports.
  • More distinct visual separation between hour contributions to Groups and hour submissions to Opportunities.

We are pleased to announce a new reporting feature for Group Administrators. With this update you’ll be able to do the following:

  • Gain in-depth insight into the hour contribution efforts of your members.
  • Understand, at a glance, key metrics such as contributed hour totals and economic impact; submission status; and comparative health averages for your group.
  • Filter data by date ranges, member name(s), opportunity(ies), and host organization(s).
